Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and blessings

The meaning of conveying Islam is to make its message reach everyone on earth..

Allah says in the Quran:

"Say O' Mohammad: O' mankind, verily, I am sent to you all" 7:158

"And we have not sent you (O' Mohammad) except as a giver of glad tidings and a warner to all mankind, but most of men know not" 34: 28

Conveying the message of Islam is the essence of the mission of the prophet Mohammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). As well as for us and that must be achieved in a way that Allah's proof will be realized before the people so that the disbelievers would have no excuse in front of Allah on the Day of Judgment.

The first stage of conveying the message of Islam is the "Word"..i.e. the verbal stage.

The order of conveying the message had been revealed to the prophet Mohammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). " O' messenger Mohammad, proclaim (the message) which has been sent down to you from Allah. And if you do not , then you have not conveyed his message" 5:67

"O' prophet Mohammad, verily, we had sent you as a witness and a bearer of glad tidings and a warner. And as one who invites to Allah by his leave and as a lamp spreading light" 33:45

and also His verse: "invite (mankind O' Mohammad) to the way of your lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching" 16:125

One of the legitimate beliefs in the understanding and interpretation of the Quran is that, every order from Allah to the prophet Mohammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is also an order to the whole Muslim nation, unless the proof is setup upon the specialization of the matter to the prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) only.

The order had been directed to the prophet Mohammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to convey the message of Islam and invite the people to the way of Allah with wisdom and beautiful preaching, so this is an order to all the Muslims to apply this sacred duty, as there is no proof that this order is specialized only to the prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), but this order has been generalized for all Muslims.

This is pretty clear through the verse "Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that good (Islam), enjoining Islamic monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do, and forbidding all that Islam has forbidden. And it is they who are the successful" 3:104

Allah says: "Verily, those who conceal the clear proofs, the evidences and the guidance, which was cleared for the people in the book, they are the ones cursed by Allah and cursed by cursers" 2:159

These noble verses indicate clearly the obligation of conveying the Islamic message to all mankind. Otherwise, the person will be held accountable. Therefore, conveying the general teachings of Islam like Tawheed (monotheism), believing in the messengers, and the things that all Muslims must know is an individual duty like fasting and praying. While in the case of the detailed teachings, it is a collective duty, as they need special studies
